Raoul Pal

In addition to being one of the best-known and most respected thought leaders and communicators in the financial markets, Raoul Pal is also a prolific entrepreneur. He uniquely focuses on what he sees as the key secular themes in macro, technology and crypto, and how they interplay with the business cycle, to drive outsized investment returns.

Raoul has been writing his flagship publication, Global Macro Investor, since January 2005 to provide original, high-quality, quantifiable and easily readable research for the global macro investment community: hedge funds, family offices, pension funds, sovereign wealth funds, RIAs, and high net worth individuals. His deep experience and highly original, yet process-driven, framework have resulted in GMI's unparalleled proven track record.

Raoul is also the co-founder and CEO of Real Vision, the leading financial knowledge and media platform which arms people with the knowledge, tools, and network to succeed in their financial journey. Additionally, he is Co-Founder and CEO of Exponential Age Asset Management, which is as asset management business that focuses on investing in the digital asset space via a fund of hedge funds (EADAF) and other vehicles. Raoul has been an active investor in crypto since 2012 and wrote the first-ever macro valuation research article on Bitcoin in 2013.

Previously, he co-managed the GLG Global Macro Fund in London for GLG Partners, one of the largest hedge fund groups in the world, having moved to GLG from Goldman Sachs where he co-managed the hedge fund sales business in Equities and Equity Derivatives in Europe. In this role, Raoul established strong relationships with many of the world's pre-eminent hedge funds, learning from their styles and experiences.

Raoul lives in the Cayman Islands, splitting his time between Grand Cayman and Little Cayman, but reaches the world via his writing; with one million Twitter followers and his video/podcast interviews that have over 100m views.

David Mattin

David Mattin is an internationally recognised expert on technology, social change, and foresight-led innovation. He is the author of the New World Same Humans newsletter, which reaches over 25,000 readers across industry, government, and academia each week.

David works with leaders inside a host of global organisations to help them understand technological change and its implications, and speaks regularly at conferences and closed events. All this work comes together at GMI, where he writes about the forces, technologies, and companies driving the emergence of the Exponential Age.

David lives in London with his wife and two sons and, in non-exponential moments, can be found playing football in the park or reading a good book.

Zoe Dadian

Zoe runs the operational side of GMI — the systems, the membership records and the platform members use every day. She came to GMI from running operations across a family of businesses, and brought that same rigour to rebuilding how GMI delivers its research: one place to read, ask, listen and see the data. She works closely with Raoul and the team so that the experience around the research is as considered as the research itself.

Laura Belmar

Laura runs sales and membership at GMI. She came to us from building companies of her own — two founded, two sold — and holds the commercial side of GMI to the same standard as the research. She enjoys showing prospective members the full range of what GMI opens up, and is continuously looking for ways to improve the member experience. She'll be your point of contact as you consider membership, and annual renewal.

Amanda Goodwin

Amanda has been part of GMI from its inception, joining as a founding partner and spending the next twenty years helping to build and run the business. More recently, she has stepped back from the day-to-day running of GMI to focus on editing and events. Today, Amanda edits every GMI report, shaping the research into the clear, polished publication members read each month. She also produces the highly anticipated annual GMI Round Table, bringing the community together for one of the most special events on the calendar. Her long history with GMI and its members brings a personal touch to both the publication and the events that surround it.
